How to get to Pertisau

By car

Please note that a vignette is obligatory for the Inntal motorway (A12). It can be bought from petrol stations, kiosks or online. For further information please see: www.austria.info

If you are coming from the direction of Bavaria/Tegernsee, the Achenpass or via Bad Tölz and Lenggries/Sylvenstein you are not required to purchase a vignette.

Fischergut PertisauIn winter, snow chains may be mandatory at the Achenpass. If the Achenpass is blocked, please take the Inntal motorway (A12) or drive via Bad Tölz. It is advisable to use these routes even in the summer, especially during high season.

The motor highway from Wiesing (motorway exit) to Maurach/Pertisau is always accessible in winter, but snow chains are often obligatory for vehicles here as well.

In Austria winter tyres MUST be used on all roads from 1st November-15th April. There are fines for non-compliance!

By train

Take the train to Jenbach and then a public bus or taxi (about 10km) to Pertisau.
For pure nostalgia and romance in the summer months, it is possible to take the “Achensee Steam Cog Railway” from Jenbach to Seespitz and then take a boat directly to Pertisau!

By plane

Travelling from further afield? The following airports are closest to Achensee. From the airport you can then travel by car or shuttle bus to Pertisau.

Rofan Reisen – Taxi Rofan: from Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich airports. Pick-up is at Jenbach is a mini-bus for up to 8 passengers. Enquire by phone or the website.
